A Concise Dictionary of Opposites

Good news to all Help Me English students: I have finally finished compiling the dictionary most of you already know about - opposites. In this (lengthy) piece of text you will find hundreds of word pairs organized in a very simple manner: word - opposite | Hungarian meaning. The text is alphabetically organized and is composed to be printer-friendly, as possible. This document is 'concise' because it only contains essential word pairs and no transcendent mumbo-jumbo... :)

Make Your Books Go Digital: A Wonderful Way to Learn the Languge

On of the greatest strategies to learn a language is to read it as often as possible. Luckily, our target is English and it is very simple to find material published in this language. Up to today, however, reading digital texts, articles and eBooks was a little uncomfortable as the screen burnt our eyes, the laptop overheated our lap, the desk made our back crooked. Well, good news: not anymore!


I, with the help of a very nice friend, have got myself a Kindle, which I believe could revolutionize language learning (as well).


Kindle is a product sold by amazon.com and it is a platform for reading. Unlike a computer screen it doesn't apply TFT of LCD (or the obsolete CRT) technologies, but uses electronic ink. This material is much like paper, which means it isn't illuminated by LEDs, thus doesn't tire your eyes any more than conventional paper, and book reading does. It's not easy to explain the way it feels, but everyone I asked was astonished. 


Also, helping us in reading books in foreign languages is the integrated dictionary, that tells the meaning of an unfamiliar word with a single button push... Neat, right?
